We are delighted to announce that Prof. Jorge Plutzky (Harvard University, Boston, USA), who was substantially involved in the scientific coordination of this symposium and set up the scientific program, will present the Ernst-Klenk Lecture, entitled Diabetic Atherosclerosis: New Targets, New Pathways.
Prof. Plutzky was able to gain various excellent scientists as guest speakers. Thus, a number of excellent and world-renowned scientists and clinicians will be speaking on a variety of pertinent subjects including the role of lipid metabolism, glucose homeostasis, and inflammation in atherogenesis as well as clinical interventions.
We expect fruitful discussions and are looking forward to welcoming you at the meeting in December.
