Kurzbeschreibung: The Chinese Medical Association, the Chinese Society of Medical Ethics, and the International Association of Bioethics invite you to participate in the 8th World Congress of Bioethics, the first to be held in China. The Congress will take place from 6 to 9 August 2006 in Beijing, in conjunction with other important bioethics events.

Like its biennial predecessors, this World Congress will offer a comprehensive examination of the full range of issues in bioethics. From stem cells to health inequalities, from sex selection to pandemic flu, leading experts from the world over will gather in Beijing for stimulating analysis and debates. Dozens of symposia and hundreds of paper presentations will be sure to include the topics that interest you most. And the Chinese venue for the 2006 Congress adds another fascinating dimension, as this fast-developing, technology-minded nation grapples with urgent ethical issues in its health care system and broader society.
