Kurzbeschreibung: The first conference in 2004 attracted more than 450 participants from 19 countries and covered all topics related to tissue engineering. For our 2006 meeting we endeavour to produce a refreshing program that includes as many new faces as possible, reflects the international nature of the tissue engineering enterprise and focuses on main topics. Well-known international scientists will be invited to discuss
with you the latest developments in musculoskeletal engineering, cell and tissue imaging, the biology and application of stem cells, quality control and economic perspectives. The suitability of embryonic and adult stem cells for cell therapy will also be addressed in a special panel discussion. Additional symposia and workshops will cover all other topics related to the field of tissue regeneration.

As in 2004, it is one of the major goals of the 2006 meeting to provide an interactive platform for students, young researchers and established scientists, for basic science, translational research and clinical applications.

We would be very proud to welcome you again to a meeting which will provide ample opportunity to confer with your colleagues in a relaxed fashion.
