Kurzbeschreibung: The conference will focus on the professionalisation of (European) bioethics and on the accompanying trend to engage in the public, political and professional arena: How does bioethics affect the “real world”, and how does the “real world” affect bioethics?

These questions will be grouped into four core themes:

* Ethics consultancy in clinical practice

EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN HEALTH CARE ETHICS

* Standards of teaching ethics for future health care professionals

* Postgraduate education and training

* Evaluation of teaching methods
