Indeed, the research activity is growing in the Asia-Pacific region. Genomics and Genetics are of no exception. It is such a pleased coincidence that the research area is growing rapidly in pace with the regions economic growth. This serves as a revolutionizing influence to every corner of Biology and Medicine. And this time, we are not bystanders, but a major part of the force of this revolution.
The growth of the research activity also gives us the chance to work together in a very much equal footed manner. Such collaboration will be a definite source of wisdom that shall benefit us all.
In this joint meeting, we will hear the recent advances in Genomics and Genetics particularly from the Asia-Pacific region. Exciting results from collaborative researches shall also be presented. This meeting is not only to learn and keep ourselves updated with what is happening at the forefront of the scientific area. It is also an avenue for us to get to know each other and to plan for the future.
