Kurzbeschreibung: In 2009 Fondazione Lanza (Padua), "Ca' Foscari" University of Venice, and the European Association of Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME) will organise the EACME annual conference. Fondazione Lanza will be the co-ordinator and the University of Venice will be the host of the event. The event is organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Fondazione Lanza.

There are four central topics:

* Multiculturalis, Religions and Bioethics in a Post-Modern Society;

* Universal Values and General Ethical Standards in a Multicultural Context;

* Towards a Mediterranean Bioethics;

* Healthcare in the Context of Migration: Social Aspects of Care and Vulnerability.
