Kurzbeschreibung: The discovery and validation of biomarkers in neurological and neurodegenerative diseases is an important challenge for early diagnosis of disease and for the development of therapeutics. This new Wellcome Trust Scientific Conference will bring together leading neuroscientists from academia and industry involved in genomics, proteomics, diagnostics, imaging and regulatory affairs. The meeting will discuss methodological aspects of biomarker identification across a spectrum of psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders, strategies for diagnostic assay development and pathways for regulatory approval.
