Kurzbeschreibung: This meeting is being held to specifically address some of these issues and, thus, can be understood as the subsequent event following the First Joint Meeting of ESOT and EDTA on "Ethics, Justice and Commerce in Organ Replacement Therapy" which took place in Munich 12 years ago, namely December 1990!

This time, however, the issues to be addressed will not be especially focused from the European point of view but more from a world-wide global point of view.

The International Congress organised by our Academy will provide excellent opportunity for a substantial interdisciplinary exchange and will not only be of particular interest to transplant surgeons and translant physicians but also to jurists, policy makers, health administrators, social workers, transplant co-ordinators, allied health proffessionals and geneticists, ethicist, philosophers, etc.
