Kurzbeschreibung: Bioethical issues have become an inevitable component of the discussion and actions conducted by many players in scientific, judical, political and economic spheres.

In a context where the latest world developments are placing these issues at the heart of debate within our societies, the "International Forum on Bioethical and Biomedical Law" aims to create a space for discussion, serving to enrich debate about the furture.

The objective of the "International Forum" is to engage in discussion about the ethics of science, so as to better determine changes in biolaw in the years that lie ahead.

It is intended that this "Forum" should take place once every two years, and its unterlying concern will be the individual, from the cradle to the grave.

This year the "International Forum on Bioethical and Biomedical Law" will focus on procreation and the rights of the child, i.e. the first stage in a human being's development.

This conference, organised by the International Observatory on Bioethical and Biomedical Law, is supported by a large number of institutions and authorities, an benefits from the backing of Mr Jean-François Mattei, the French Minister for Health, the Family and the Disabled.
