Kurzbeschreibung: In November 2003, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Health Services Research Association of Australia and New Zealand will hold their conferences concurrently for the first time.

This collaboration presents an exciting opportunity for clinicians, health services researchers, health policy-makers, and health professionals with diverse interests in health services provision to exchange views and experiences with peers and colleagues, both regionally and internationally.

This is a crucial time in the development of health services research in Australia and New Zealand, with health systems and services under increasing pressure from new technologies, rising community expectations, and tight government budgets.

These conferences provide a critical occasion for health professionals to develop effective strategies and sound practices for health services provision in Australasia, during one of the premier events on the Australasian health-services calendar.

It is our pleasure to invite members and colleagues to attend the 2003 RACP Conference, The Ethics and Philosophy of Health Financing, and / or the 2003 HSRAANZ Conference, Bridging the Gap: Research and Values to Policy and Practice.

These conferences feature international and Australasian keynote speakers, and promise stimulating discussion and debate, as well as the opportunity for you to meet with colleagues from Australasia and beyond.

We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne, for what promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year!
