* To become aware of ethical issues in clinical care;
* To understand the Islamic perspective on the ethical issues pertaining to End of Life and Abortion;
* To understand issues pertaining to organizational ethics;
* To be able to identify and analyze an ethical dilemma;
* To understand a structured approach in assessing issues of clinical ethics;
* To identify effectiveness and difficulties of the structured approach.
Day 1: Seminar
Day one would be open to all and would consist of invited keynote speakers and talks on six themes chosen for the meeting. This would help enhance the overall awareness of the participants to pertinent ethical issues in clinical care.
Day 2: Workshop
This would be confined to 30 participants on first come first basis. Ideally suited for health care professionals. The workshop will be conducted in small group sessions working on case scenarios provided.
