Titel: Ethics in Bio-Technology: Teaching, Research and Decision-making
Termin:
21.4.2005
bis 23.4.2005
Veranstaltungsort:
Castle Vaeshartelt (near Maastricht)
Maastricht, Netherlands
Kurzbeschreibung:
The event represents the concluding conference of the BioT-Ethics project, which was founded in May 2002 to address a gap in the analysis and teaching of biotechnology ethics as opposed to bioethics, where attention is focused mainly on medical ethics. Coordinated by EMBO member, Franco Celada, the three-year project, run by 13 groups in 11 states, has intermingled research on biotechnology ethics with the teaching of experimental courses. The ultimate goal of the initiative is to build a permanent European institution devoted to the research and education in BioT-Ethics.
